When it comes to beauty, skin care is my number one priority.
My philosophy is, instead of covering skin imperfections with makeup, why not treat them?
Moisturizers, toners, serums, peels, masks, elixir's, creams, oils and anti-aging everything.
Every brand from La Mer, Chanel, Josie Maran, Sunday Riley, Clinique, Lancome, Glam Glow and everything in between.
So I was very curious when I received a box from L'Oreal with their new pure clay masks.

All three are made for any skin type, from oily, dry, sensitive to combination. Of course you would choose the product meant for your problem areas.
Another thing I liked about these masks based upon first reaction is the smell. They smelled like a per-fumy/fragrance instead of earthy like I expected.
I was very intrigued by the green mask, the Purify and Mattify. It promised skin to be cleaner, less oily/shiny, healthier, and for pores to seem less visible.
I was also intrigued by the black mask, the Detox and Brighten as well, it reminded me of my beloved Glam Glow's supermud treatment. It promised to clean up toxins, blackheads and leave skin clear.
So after following the instructions on both packages, I experimented in mult-masking by treating my problem areas with combination of both masks.
Multi-masking |
After 10 minutes I scrubbed it off and I was very surprised by the results.
The Purify and Matify mask gave a cooling sensation when applied, it glided on very smooth and did not make my skin feel dry.
As expected the Detox and Brighten mask is so similar to Glam Glows, it dried almost instantly and brought all of my blackheads to the surface.
Not only was I super impressed by the drugstore masks, they actually worked! My skin was much more smoother, cleaner and clearer.

I love a good exfoliate but I'm also very cautious when trying new brands because they have the tendency to irritate make my skin, ending up with a very red face. So I waited a few days between mask treatments to try out the Exfoliate and Refine mask in the red jar. After leaving on my skin after 10 minutes, I noticed my skin was more glowy and healthier looking. And most importantly it did not irritate my skin or leave any redness behind.
Overall I was very well pleased with L'Oreal's trio of clay masks. They are very efficient and will not break the bank! I would have to give all 3 masks 2 big thumbs up!
Have you tried these new pure clay masks from Loreal Paris? If so let me know what your thoughts are! And of course if you have any questions on these feel free to ask your favorite blogger!!!
